KOMPAK Indonesia (Education Committee for Indonesian Children Creativity)

Kompak is one of NGOs located in Jakarta established in 1988 actively participate in national development process through development programmes, advocacy. In dealing the child labour KOMPAK carried out personality and creativity development progrrame, advocacy and drop-in center. Their main working children target is children aged 9-14 who working in industrial sectors in Bogor, Tangerang dan Bekasi.

In 1992/1993 IPEC established a collaboration with KOMPAK to develop the creativity and personality of the working children in food processing. During the collaboration a drop in center was set up with a library in for the working children to meet and get some knowledge through books. The project was terminated due to the incapability of the foundation in administrative work and also fact that the foundation receives double funding.
