Bina Swadaya is a national level NGO that has been
active in the field of training for more than 20 years, especially
in training for NGOs in rural areas by providing technical and engagement
assistance. They also have good facilities and permanent training
experts to carry out the training. Around 400 NGOs from all parts
of Indonesia have already been trained by this institute.
The collaboration with IPEC was started in 1992 and has developed
an Indonesian version of the IPEC training package on the Design,
Monitoring, and Evaluation of Child Labour project through training
which was participated by 44 NGOs from western part of Indonesia.
The package revised into a new version after the next training in
the eastern part of Indonesia where there were about 20 NGOs participated
in it. The package was revised based on the two trainings. Bina
Swadaya also has included training on child labour projects on their
regular training agenda and also set up as well as give support
a network of NGOs which deal child labour. Under biennium 2000/2001
there's an action programme to strengthen the capacity of the NGOs
where Bina Swadaya as the responsible institution in submitting
the report to headquarter while JARAK is the NGOs network who receive
the training and implement the programme.
